Candido Neftali Munoz, Jr
January 18th, 1942 - December 2nd, 2020
January 18th, 1942 - December 2nd, 2020
Candido was a great guy to talk to and was known for his optimism and likable character. He was distinctively his own person, a street-wise New Yorker with a great depth of knowledge covering a variety of subjects. Some of his favorite things included history, photography, and Hollywood trivia. He was also a person of faith and did his best to live a good life. He would talk of his many struggles and victories in life, including serving in the US Air Force and finding work in Los Angeles. He had a great admiration for the state of California and it became where he "made his bones" as he would put it.
There were also difficult times when he couldn't find work, yet Candido nevertheless would do his best as a provider for his family. He also stayed faithful to his wife Celia and she to him. Because dad refused to be "a defeatist". He put his faith, his family, his people, and his country before himself. He found that the reward in doing so was worth more than any material thing anyway.
If only his country had served him back.
