The YGL Community is deeply saddened by the passing of Brooke Ellison (YGL 2014), who passed away at the age of 45 on February 4, 2024. As an academic, disability advocate and the first quadriplegic person to graduate from Harvard University, Brooke's indomitable spirit and unwavering dedication to service continue to inspire us all. Her legacy as a trailblazer in education and disability advocacy will forever echo within our community, as will her love for singing and 80s music. Our heartfelt condolences go out to her loved ones during this difficult time. May her memory be a source of strength and inspiration to us all.
