I had the great fortune of working with Brian at 4 different companies over the past 30 years. (Frito Lay, Coors, Mike's Hard Lemonade and Pabst) He was always looking out for his friends and colleagues. I was a beneficiary of his guidance and his ability to connect with people on many different levels. Too many stories to share here. But, no matter the circumstances or the difficulty of a situation, we always managed to share a laugh on the way to a successful venture. Brian, to say you will be missed is a complete understatement. We lost you way too soon. Adrienne and family, I'm so sorry for your loss. You and the family are in my thoughts and prayers. God Bless!!

Rest in peace, my friend. You were a blessing, to me and my family. Your memory is a treasure". You left too soon, but your generous heart and spirit lives on. You have blessed my live through connecting me with a special friend and family. Your kindness will never be forgotten. To the family, may the peace of God rest and rule within your heart! There was a void within the walls of our office when Brian was no longer with Pabst. He was a force — a gentle human who truly cared, who always took the time to listen, even when he was a busy man. Just a genuinely good man who made a positive and lasting impact on countless of us. That influence will continue through all the people he taught, coached, inspired, and supported. A few months ago, Brian came into our office, and his voice was instantly recognizable. I popped up and followed the sound, so excited to see him. After years of not crossing paths, he still made me feel so special, taking the time to say hello and briefly catch up. I am so glad I followed my gut that day and said hi. I will carry that conversation with me and keep it close. Thank you, Brian Smith, for being a good human. To Brian’s family — may you carry his many good memories with you, letting them surround you, comfort you, and help guide you through this difficult transition.

I looked for a picture that reflected who Brian was,( wish I had more examples), and attached is picture from a customer trip to the Okanagan in Canada from 2012. The experience with our customers was unreal and all Brian's doing. Memories were created, friendships enhanced and working relationships were further cemented on this trip. All of these things happened because of who Brian was and what he stood for. Our good friend and Kroger president Jon Flora who passed away about a year after this trip is in this picture. I know Jon and Brian are laughing it up in heaven right now. I will miss you Brian. Adrienne, so sorry for your loss; you and the girls are in my thoughts and prayers. Godspeed Brian

So many funny memories but this was a favorite! Brian was a gentle giant with the best sense of humor even after purchasing the world’s smallest bridge! He also loved my constant use of the word “gortcha”. Brian will be missed by just so many people….I’m heartbroken over this.

I am so very sorry for your loss. Please know that your family are in my thoughts and prayers. Brian was far more than a mentor to me — he was a true friend, and someone who had a profound impact on the man I’ve become and the career I’ve built. I owe him, like so many others do, more than I can ever properly put into words. I will always be grateful for his guidance, his belief in me, and the way he showed up for people. He will be deeply missed, but his legacy lives on in all of us he influenced, we will carry the torch on. With sincere sympathy, Aaron Sosnoski
