On January 30th, 2021, beloved son of Dr. Susan Bregman and the late Ralph Bregman; brother of Jason Ben-Ari Bregman (married to Kathryn Bregman); uncle of Maya Claire Bregman. Brian was an attorney, an investigator with the Maryland State Medical Examiner's Office, a volunteer with the Metropolitan Police Department for 16 years, and for over two decades volunteered for multiple of Prince George's County Fire Departments. He was dedicated to his work, a mentor to many, he was highly regarded and loved by the community and his family. He was a world traveler that visited dozens of countries and every continent (yes, including Antarctica). He loved his work, music and most of all his many close friendships.

You were a great guy to work for. I always think of you when I hear some say “It is what it is.”

It's Feb 8 2022 here in Aotearoa New Zealand. Christchurch -where you've also once been, natch! We miss you "Khun Brine" when we get settled here, we will plant a tree, probably a banana tree, unless it's too frosty here. In which case we'll plant a peach. You turned a chance meeting into an endless adventure and an outrageous bromance beyond compare! So fly on wing, "I'll see you on the flipside". I have just found out about this tragic event. I live near to London in the UK and knew Brian for a few years but only met him a few times. I wouldn't be exaggerating if I said Brian was one of the nicest, caring, giving and intelligent human beings I have met. I am in total shock. The only contact outside of face-to-face was email and phone but neither have been responded to, now I know why. Thank you to one of his friends for reaching out to me My sincerest of condolences to his Mum, his brother and his family, I am so sorry for your loss.....a truly great man RIP Brian

We will miss you Brian,

I have known Brian since I was a small child. We lived across the street from each other, and I was friends with him until we moved to Bowie in 1989. I had the chance to reconnect in 2006 in Southern California on a layover, it was great catching up with him! He was still mad at me that I had moved to Bowie! I remember getting caught egging a house with him when we were about 10 years old. I told him to run quietly, and we had our assigned hiding spots arranged. After we egged the house (5 houses away from our house, brilliant right?) he ran down the street stomping his feet so loud, he probably woke up the whole neighborhood! I have very fond memories growing up with him as a kid. Sleepovers, playing in the woods behind his house, coin collecting, stamp collecting, and laughing about how his fad enjoyed watching the McLaughlin Hour.....which is pretty much all I do now! I was just think a couple months ago that I needed to reach out to him because it had been forever since we talked. I am so incredibly sad to hear this news. He was a great guy. I'll miss you Brian.
