Brenda Kay Richards

Brenda Kay Richards, 66, passed away on Saturday, May 27th, 2024 at Eagle Pointe Healthcare Center in Parkersburg, WV after a short battle with complications from a massive ischemic stroke. In the days preceding her death, and at the time of her passing, she was surrounded by the people she most loved, her family. She was the wife of her soul mate and best friend, Timothy Dale Richards Sr. They shared just shy of 50 years of marriage together. 

Brenda enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved her pets and collected beautifully crafted dolls. She enjoyed being out in nature and was rarely seen without her faithful dogs; first Gizmo, then Kujo, and currently Lucky. 

Born in Massillon, OH on September 21, 1958, she was the daughter of Eugene and Frieda West. She is survived by her husband, Tim, her three children Tonya, TJ, and Chris (Cyndi), six grandchildren, five great grandchildren, four sisters Sherry, Angie, Debbie, and Sue, two brothers Jimmy and Richard. She was preceded in death by one sister Shelly, one brother Lee, and both parents.  

A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2024 from 1-4pm, with remarks at 3pm, at the Kaltinecker Family Suite at the Blennerhassett Hotel (320 Market St., Parkersburg, WV 26101). Expressions of sympathy may be sent to Tim Richards at 814 Cedar Grove Rd., Parkersburg, WV 26104.

A private cremation will take place at Mid-Ohio Valley Cremation Society.
