Bobbie Kraus

Our bright, shining Bobbie, mother to Dan, Brad and Todd and great friend to many, passed away peacefully at home on April 16th, 2020. As a friend recently commented, “she was a meaningful role model and represented an era of total NY attitude I wish I could embody an ounce of. Her pure chutzpah, love of theater and culture, spirit of travel, honesty and directness… made her one of the most unique people that I have ever met”. Born in Manhattan and raised in Great Neck, Bobbie loved to travel the world, Her love of the beach and ocean never waned. Never one for a gray overcast day, she was a true old fashion sun worshipping goddess and could lighten up any room she walked into. She was an avid supporter and consumer of the arts and spent her working years raising funds for organizations such as Hospital Audiences, The National Audubon Society and MFY Legal Services. She leaves behind her sons, Dan, Brad and Todd, their spouses, four grandchildren, two beloved sisters and numerous friends around the world.
