Barbara Kay Hegedus

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of one of the sweetest women on earth. Barbara Kay (Oldaker) Hegedus 62, of Parkersburg, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2018 surrounded by her loving family that adored her so much. She was the youngest of 8 children born to the late Wilson and the late Jessie Harrison Oldaker. She is survived by her loving husband of 34 years John W. Hegedus of Parkersburg. Her only child a daughter Jessica Metz and her husband Brian of Parkersburg. Her two grandchildren who where the lights of her world. Brittany Harding and her husband Dallas of Vienna and Brody Metz (Megan Smith) of Parkersburg. Two brothers Hank (Judy) Oldaker and Roger (Barbara) Oldaker both of Parkersburg. Two sisters Kathleen Lucas and Debbie (Roger) Reed both of Parkersburg. And several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death and is now reunited in Heaven with her mother and father, two brothers Mickey and Butch Oldaker and a sister Glenda Daggett. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family. She was a very creative person who enjoyed doing crafts, crocheting, painting and sewing. If it could be made with your hands she could figure out how to make it. She was a member of Harmony Baptist Church. In honor of her wishes she will be cremated and there will be no services.
