Barbara Bertka Walker

Barbara E. Walker, May 2, 1940 to July 17, 2023 passed at 83 years of age at the Novant Mint Hill Hospital in the Special Care Unit. Surrounded by her family. Proceeded by her husband, Boyce Monroe Walker of 46 years. A U.S. Army veteran of 23 years. Serving in both the Korean and Vietnam Wars. She was a loving housewife and mother who fought hard for her life because of her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and family. She is survived by her daughter Linda Walker Bishop and husband John, her son, Michael Boyce Walker and wife Traci; her beloved grandchildren, John Michael Bishop and wife Samantha, Wendy Bishop Jones and husband Richard. Kevin Walker Murphy and wife Danielle; her beloved great grandchildren, Halo Heartly Bishop, Legend Cove Bishop, Harrison Walker Jones, Knox Monroe Jones and Charlotte Ann Murphy. Mrs. Walker is also survived by her sisters Marian Cummins, Richmond, VA and Judy Reed, Sebastian, FL A Celebration of Life to carry out her wishes will take place with her beloved family at the beach on a future date.
