Alvidor Ray Brooks

Alvidor R. Brooks, 76, of Parkersburg W. Va. , passed away June 4th, 2019, at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital. He was born in Parkersburg, W. Va. , a son of late Raymond and Carrie Brooks. Alvidor was retired from Walker Parkersburg (Parkersburg Rig and Reel. ) He was a man of many talents, there wasn’t anything he couldn’t do and had an amazing soul, and if you needed him he would be there. Alvidor enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working with his hands, he was quite the handyman and even enjoyed baking too. He is survived by four children Diana L. Brooks-Ray (Harvey), Nyoka R. Brooks, Brandon R. Brooks (Brittany) and Ricky L. Brooks; 12 grandchildren; and 19 great- grandchildren; One sister, Marie VanFossen of Petroleum W,Va. One brother Eugene Brooks (Mary) of Farmville Va. ; In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by One daughter Tammy M. Moutry, One granddaughter Mary Moutry and One grandson James Toombs Jr. The family will have a celebration of life to honor Alvidor Brooks at the City Park of Parkersburg at an undetermined time, we will notify friends and family once the celebration is scheduled.
