Alfred "Al" Breau Crim

Alfred “Al” Breau Crim, age 75, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2026.

 

Alfred was born on December 1, 1950, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Liggett N. Crim Jr. and Nell B. Skidmore. He attended St. Stephen’s Episcopal School and later earned a Bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Texas at Austin. He remained a lifelong learner, known for his keen and curious mind.

 

Alfred lived a life shaped by both strength and struggle, which over time forged in him a servant’s heart.

 

He is best remembered through his service as a member of United Bible Church, the YMCA, and later the Cowtown Clubhouse. Alfred never hesitated to offer the fries off his plate, the dollar in his pocket, or even the shirt off his back. In both his best and most challenging moments, he remained committed to supporting those around him.

 

Alfred is survived by his former wife, Lisa Sellers, who remained an important part of his life; by their daughter, Catherine Crim Grimshaw (John); and by two grandsons, Levi and Micah, who will grow up carrying forward the values that mattered most to him.

 

Alfred is also survived by four siblings: Liggett N. Crim III (Marcia), Robert Becker (Tami), Thomas Becker (LaVonda), and Nila Kaftal (David), as well as nine nieces and nephews.

 

Shaped by Methodist faith, Alfred understood grace as something lived out over time, and his life reflected an ongoing openness to forgiveness, reconciliation, and care for others.

 

A celebration of Alfred’s life will take place on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at the YMCA of Fort Worth, located at 512 Lamar Street, Fort Worth, Texas.
