Louisa Petra Lucero Jaramillo
May 26, 1933 October 11, 2009

Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Louisa Petra Lucero Jaramillo, 76, entered eternal rest Sunday October 11, 2009 surrounded by her family. Born May 26, 1933 in Taos New Mexico to David & Estella Lucero; Louisa loved bingo, the casino, traveling and laughing with family and friends. Louisa was a devout Catholic, a member of Holy Cross Parish. She enjoyed game shows, reading, word puzzles and a good game of Scrabble or Uno.

She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Marvin Ortiz; siblings, Charlie and Adelina Lucero, Maria Romo, Edna & Ben Vargas; and special niece Emily Trujillo Valdez.

She is survived by her spouse, John A. Jaramillo; her sister and brother-in law, Lorraine & Eloy Trujillo of Taos, NM; her children James and Benita Lucero of Taos, NM; Yolanda & Robert Gonzales of Las Cruces, NM; Phillip and Denise Ortiz of Las Cruces NM, and special nephew Carlos E. Trujillo; grandchildren: Joan and Danny Garcia, Jamie Lucero (Lucus), Maria Lucero (Aldo), Patricia Ortiz (Augustine), Donna Armijo (Tony), Deena de La Riva (Tomas), Cole Ortiz (Lisa), Taylor Ortiz, Landon Ortiz, Gage Ortiz and Micah Ortiz; and great-grandchildren: Angel Lucero, Santana Lucero, Mia Garcia, Diego Garcia, Caedon Carrasco, Brandon Carrasco, Shane Carrasco, Megan de La Riva, Selestra de La Riva and Lilianna Ortiz, along with many other relatives and friends.

At her request, cremation has taken place, a funeral mass was celebrated at Nuestra Senora de Dolores Church in Canon on Saturday, October 17, 2009. Interment will take place at a later date.
