Biography

Joseph Watrous “Watty” Macnamara, Sr., 92, of Ranchos de Taos passed away peacefully surrounded by family on December 8, 2017. He is preceded in death by his wife Susana “Susie” Macnamara, parents Patrick and Louise Macnamara, Sisters, Rosie Faverino, Maureen Kimbriel and Peggy Massey. He is survived by his children Yolanda Williams (Dwight), Joseph W. Macnamara, Jr. (Toye), and Carmel Manzanares whom he loved like a daughter, grandchildren Louis Eades (Jess), Margaret Gonzales (Matt), Melanie Harper (Tom), Christine Garcia (Lloyd), Senaida Montoya (Danielle), Russell Williams, Ricky Williams (Luana), He is also survived by great grandchildren Jonathon (Sonya), Patrick, Zachary (Jacqueline), Bridgette, Feliz, Jack, Rafael, Monique, Maria, Miguel, Angelina, Gabriel, and Sarah, his brother Desmond Macnamara (Shirley) and many nieces and nephews. A special thanks to all the doctors, nurses and staff at Taos Living Center.

Rosary will be recited on Wednesday, December 13th at 6 PM at Rivera Chapel. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, December 14th at 10 AM at San Francisco de Asis Church with interment to follow at 3 PM at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.

Dear MacNamara family. My sincere condolences for your loss. Your grandfather was a good friend of mine and was always so happy and positive. I enjoyed his company when my mother and I used to eat with him. You are such a strong family and your love for him was so strong and he was always so happy when you were all together.
