Forrest taught me how to read the river, and he taught me how to maneuver a raft in the river. I worked for him and with him in the summer of 1973 for Philmont and Joe Clay, and then again with them floating the Arkansas River in Colorado for the scouts at San Isabel Scout Camp. Forrest was a great guy.

Forrest was such a great friend during a part of my life when I was still discovering myself. He was always there for a hug and smile and his wise & comforting words of wisdom.
He is missed by many friends!

I was just searching for this information for some time. After 6 hours of continuous Googleing, finally I got it in your site. I wonder what is the Google's problem that does not rank this type of informative sites closer to the top. Normally the top web sites are full of garbage.

I had the privilege of being a parent volunteer at Mountain School and helped in many of Forrest's art classes. He was very talented and loved what he did. I was so sorry to hear he had died. My thoughts are with you all at this difficult time,
