I stayed in her home and was treated so kindly. I was only dating my husband Gabriel her grandson at the time. Gods grace shone through her in a simple act of tenderness that meant more to me than maybe she was even aware of. She "tucked me in" before I went to sleep. Called me "hija". Then gave me a little pat. I felt as if I where one of her daughter's and felt very welcome into the family. I will never forget her sweetness. May her home in heaven be just as sweet.

Grandma,

I love you very much and I am proud to be your Grandson. You are the Matriarch of the Miera Family. During your life you taught your children, grandchildren and great-grandchild to honor their family, strive for personal achievement and to be thankful to God for his many blessings.

You were always there for me when I needed guidance and wisdom during the turbulent times of my life. I will miss your hugs, kisses, and even the occasional kick to the seat of my pants, because you always knew when I needed one those as well. Your love, advice, and direction to trust the Lord to work his will, were what carried me through and helped to become the man that I am today.

Now that you have passed, know that all of your family will continue to espouse the traditions and values that you taught us to guide us all through our lives on this Earth.

I look forward to the day when I will see you again in Heaven.

Your Loving Grandson,

Christopher Michael Miera
Lieutenant Commander (Select)
