Max Joseph Roybal

Max J. Roybal passed away on August 22, 2018. He was born in Santa Fe, NM on February 15, 1934.
He is preceded in death by his father and mother: Max Roybal Sr. and Sofie Sanchez Roybal.
Max is survived by his sisters: Margaret Mendez (Ray) from Santa Fe, Barbara Black from Albuquerque, Sofie Rivera (Adrian) from Santa Fe and Carmen Melendez from Albuquerque. He is also survived by his half brother Ricardo Roybal (Ora) and half sister Maxine Lopez and Betty Pino all from Albuquerque. Also surviving him are several nephews and nieces.
A Rosary will be recited on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. at Rivera Family Funeral Home Kiva Chapel of Light located at 417 East Rodeo Road Santa Fe, NM.
Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with burial to follow at 1:30 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
The family of Max J. Roybal has entrusted the care of their loved one to Rivera Family Funeral Home.
The family also thanks the VA hospital and Las Palomas Home Health Care in Albuquerque for the excellent care they provided Max.
