Leonard "Bone" Anthony Garcia, Sr.

Leonard “Bone”Anthony Garcia, Sr. 53 – A resident of Santa Fe, New Mexico passed away surrounded by his loved ones on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 due to complications after surgery. Leonard was born on January 27, 1965 in Santa Fe, New Mexico to Ben and Joy Garcia. He married Stephanie G. Garcia in Santa Fe, New Mexico on September 3, 2011.
He is preceded in death by his father, Ben Garcia; son, Benito Garcia; brothers: David and Anthony Garcia; mother-in-law, Jane M. Garcia. He is survived by his wife: Stephanie Garcia; sons, Marcus Salazar (Elena), Leonard A. Garcia, Jr; daughter, Jasmine B. Garcia; mother: Joy Salazar Garcia, sister: Elaine Garcia; brothers: Pat Garcia (Monica), John Garcia (Joniva); in-laws, George and Priscillla Garcia; brothers-in-law, George III, and Gabriel Garcia; sister-in-law, Annette Garcia; granddaughter Alyssa and several very special nieces and nephews and other extended family and friends. Leonard deeply loved his family and friends.
He was a devoted husband, father, son, uncle, great uncle and grandfather. Leonard played many sports from elementary throughout high school.
Leonard loved his Raiders, Horseman and his newest team The Mandela Lions which he began coaching this year.
He was a devoted Catholic and donated his company’s services to charity for many years. Leonard’s love for music led him to begin his company Outback Security where he met many legendary performers. Leonard will be greatly missed and took a piece of our hearts with him.
Visitation will be on Friday, November 30, 2018 at 8:30 a.m. at Cristo Rey Catholic Church.
A rosary will be recited at 9:00 a.m. at Cristo Rey Catholic Church on Friday, November 30, 2018. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. at Cristo Rey Catholic Church. The interment will be held at a later date. Serving as pallbearers will be: Paul Martinez, Paul Aguilar, Joseph Abeyta, II. Lino Chavez, Mark Pacheco, David Romero, Leo Ortiz, Orlando Vasquez. Serving as the honorary pallbearers will be: Victoria Baines, Enid Cresson, Bob Cresson, Philemon Garcia, Joe Duran, Ron Bartrum and Joyce Velarde.
