I worked with Katherine through ISU Extension, she in Maddison County, myself in Jasper County. We would meet several times through-out the year to network about what was working well in different counties, what wasn't working well etc... she was always so kind and positive and always had great ideas to share. I was shocked and saddened to hear this knews. Her family is in my prayers.

Dear Aunt Lois and family; I was stunned when I received your email via Mom. I am so sorry for your loss. I know it is bittersweet, knowing that she is celebrating even now, but difficult to be left with the emotions and loss here. You are in our prayers. dear family of katherine, i was sad to learn of kat's passing. it had been some time since we last talked, but i cherish the last visit i had with her. it was not long after the wedding and she radiated happiness and serenity. though i'll miss her laughter, i am comforted knowing that she loved the Lord, trusted in His goodness and is with Him now. we were all blessed to have her touch our lives.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I knew Katherine through the Take 12 program with the EFCAIM. During our 2 week training, we were roommates prior to our experiences abroad that summer. We had kept in touch and when we returned she had trips to the twin cities for work with either paint/hardware store stuff or a tournament up in Blaine for her step- children. We kept in touch. I remember the day she called to tell me she was pursuing photography, and knowing i do that as well, called to tell me she quite her job to pursue it full time! She ws so excited about it! She loved her husband and the marriage they had and shared that with me as well. Her excitement about her soon birth of Nathan showed clearly as well! I am so sorry to hear the news of what the cancer has done. She was so sweet and caring and I will never forget her kind heart. She had a great laugh too! Her smile was contagious! She will always be remembered! You are in my prayers. Stephanie

So very sorry Katherine's productive, caring life was so brief. Peg and I moved to Earlham in 1973, attended church with Russell and Olive the four years we lived there, and were close friends of Bill and Rosemary. I sang in the choir with Red Morris and played tennis several times with Lois when she was home visiting from Atlantic. Our thoughts are with you during your grieving.

Jerod and family: We are presently out of town and will be unable to attend services for Kathrine but we want you to know how sincerely sad we were to hear of Kathrine's illness, and now of her passing. She truly was a special person, a delight to be around. We especially enjoyed the time spent with her working on the 4-H program, not only as a 4-H member but as the 4-H extension specialist. How sad it is the world has lost such a beautiful woman. Katherine was always cheery and had a big smile on her face. She worked for us when she was in high school at the grocery store in Earlham. My heart aches for her entire family, but I know they all have a deep faith in God, and they will be strong survivors. Bless you all!
