John E. Connelly - John E. Connelly, 48, of 12 Cornell Road, died December 4 at Peter Bent Brigham Hospital in Boston. Born in Brighton, attorney Connelly was a resident of Wellesley for 10 years.
Before becoming an Assistant General Counsel for the Massachusetts Hospital Association, he was engaged in private law practice in Boston. He attended Boston College and graduated in 1949 from Boston University Law School. A Federal Bar member, he belonged to the American Society of Hospital Attorneys. During World War II, he was a Lieutenant JG in the U.S. Navy.
He was the husband of Elizabeth A. (Daly); father of Thomas H., Carol M., John C., and Edward A., all of Wellesley; brother of Dr. Thomas G. Connelly of Milton, and Mrs. Frank (Isabel) Vaas of Brookline; and nephew of Mrs. [Grace Morris Curry] Francis Elbery of Brighton.
Funeral services conducted from the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home were held this morning with a funeral mass in St. Paul's Church. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hematology Research Fund, c/o Peter Bent Brigham Hospital, Boston.
