I lived in Santa Fe thru the 1980's .I worked at "The Candyman Music Shop" when i first heard this beautiful sounding guitar from somewhere in the back of the store.As i walked and followed the sound, there was Don, making ti look so easy and sounding so awesome.When he stopped, i asked him to show me some Guitar licks,which he did.Hes was such pleasant human being.
None of us were as good on the guitar as Don, and i remember saying to myself, if i "Ever" get that good im going to be like Don and treat every musician with respect as he did.Thank you Don for your time you spent with me in the store,playing and talking about life. I will miss you very much.Your still my favorite player ya know !!
