Beulah M. Travis

Beulah M. Travis was born August 8, 1904 in Dexter, Iowa, the daughter of Gene and Myrtle Satterlee. Her marriage to Don Travis took place on March 17, 1929. Survivors include her two children, Shirley Means of Carrollton, Texas and Larry K. Travis of San Antonio, Texas; two brothers, Max Satterlee of Peru and Oren Satterlee of Bentonville, Arkansas; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Beulah was a farmwife and later assisted her husband with Farmer’s Mutual Fire & Tornado Insurance. They made their home in Winterset in 1953 and Beulah later moved to Bentonville, Arkansas after Don’s death. She always remained a faithful member of the Methodist Church. Beulah died Wednesday, August 22, 2007, at Atria Assisted Living in Carrollton. She was 103.
