My condolences. Allen was a good guy and friend throughout high school. He had a wide variety of interests and was an important person in the Taos community. It was an honor to know him.

We are so saddened to hear of Allens passing. He was a very special man and primo to us. We loved him and his music that he shared so willingly. We were honored to have him and his band play at our MARTNEZ/CORTEZ Family Reunion in 1909. He left us with so many wonderful memories..we will miss him. Joe, Isabel and family.

Altar Boys
Alan and I were childhood friends and continued our friendship into high school and beyond. At a very early age, Alan and I would meet at La Loma on our way to serve daily mass for the nuns at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. We continued being altar boys for several years. One particular time as I was learning how to serve, it was my turn to ring the bell at the offeratory. Alan was my teacher and told me to look at him and when he nodded his head, I should ring the bell. I didnt take my eyes off of him and he seemed to be making a lot of nodding moves, so I would ring the bell. Finally, one of the nuns came and took the bell away from me, Alan and I could not stop laughing. I love you buddy. See you at holy communion, friend.|

I am so sorry for your loss of you husband and father. What a great person he was, always smiling and making us smile with his music. He and Vito played at my wedding and it was so magical.
