Biografía

Manuel Ortiz, Sr., 102, of Arroyo Hondo passed away September 7, 2012. He is preceded in death by his wife, Alicia Ortiz, daughter, Leonora Ortiz, daughter in law, Frances Ortiz and grandson, Manuel Ortiz III, parents, Anastacio and Rosita Ortiz and brother, Marcos Ortiz. He is survived by his children, Bernadette Romero (Dickie), Rosa Ortiz, Manuel Ortiz Jr., Leonardo Ortiz (Carmen), Lawrence Ortiz, Leandro Ortiz, Marcos Ortiz (Stephanie), MaryAlice Ortiz, Palmela Ortiz-Reed (Vincent), 18 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, many other relatives and friends.

Rosary was recited on September 9, 2012 at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Arroyo Hondo. Funeral mass was held on September 10, 2012. Both were held at Our Lady of Sorrows Church with interment following at the Upper Arroyo Hondo Cemetery.

To All The Ortiz Family,
When I heard of your dad's passing the news brought tears to my eyes. Your dad was a good man. I have good memories of him and his entire family. I especially remember him giving me a hard time after I picked chokecherries from his trees, but forgot to deliver the wine. But I did three years later. I wish I could have seen all of you, I was unable to attend services. May God be with all of you.
