Craig Ballinger

On Monday morning September 26th, 2016, in Fairfax VA, loving husband of 53 years passed away. His wife Sandra, two sons Dean and Todd, daughter in-law Sonia, and granddaughter Kara were by his side. Craig was from Detroit, MI, and the son of Mona and Clyde Ballinger. He was blessed with eight grandchildren; Kara, Samantha, Andrew, Nicholas, Kathryn, Morgan, Ava and Craig, and two great grandchildren, Lilly and Eric Jr. Craig was an entrepreneur, a creative, and a life explorer with many passions. He struck a harmonious balance between family and work as a Civil Engineer. He was on the ski patrol for 40+ years, American Red Cross for 30+ years, and volunteered his free time as a Fire Fighter, Rescue Diver, and Boy Scout leader. Craig loved to spend his time helping others.

A visitation will be held at Murphy’s Funeral Home in Falls Church on Friday, October 7th, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM. The service and celebration of Craig’s life will be held on Saturday, October 8th, at 10:00 AM at the Falls Church Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in Craig’s name to the American Red Cross.
